Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information nestedbynora.com collects, how it’s used and the choices you have. It takes effect on the date it was last updated, shown above.

The short version

  • The calculators run in your browser. What you type into them isn’t sent to us.
  • There are no accounts, sign-ups or forms on the site.
  • One setting is saved on your own device so the calculators open the way you left them, and you can delete it.
  • We don’t sell personal information.

What you type into the calculators

Measurements and sizes you enter stay in your browser. They aren’t uploaded. A calculator’s share link (Copy link) does contain the numbers you entered, so it only goes where you send it.

What’s saved on your device

The site uses your browser’s local storage, which stays on your device and isn’t sent to us, to remember your unit preference (feet and inches, or meters and centimeters). Clearing your browser’s data for this site deletes it.

The site’s own code doesn’t set cookies.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to read and answer your message, and we don’t add you to a mailing list. Ask us at any time to delete your messages.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare processes technical information about each visit, such as your IP address and the pages requested. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for how it handles that information.

Analytics

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use the site, such as which pages they visit and where they come from. Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) that by default last up to two years, and Google may collect information about your activity on this site over time.

We set it up to collect as little as possible:

  • Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, and no advertising cookies are set.
  • The numbers you type into a calculator are never sent: Google Analytics receives the page's address without them.
  • In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by default.
  • If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Google Analytics runs without analytics cookies.

Advertising

The site doesn't show ads today, and it has no affiliate links. Before ads start, this section will name the ad network, what it collects and the choices you have.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

The site's own code doesn't track you across other websites, so a browser's Do Not Track setting doesn't change how it works. When your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request not to use analytics cookies, as described above.

Some pages link to other sites, and the “Save” link on a page opens Pinterest. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you’re there. A link to Pinterest is a plain link: nothing from Pinterest loads on this site until you click it.

Children

Nested by Nora is meant for adults and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Your choices

  • Clear this site’s data in your browser settings to remove your unit preference.
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser or with an extension that supports it.
  • Ask us to delete any email you’ve sent.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change affects what we collect or how we use it, we’ll note it at the top of this page.
